Why Garlicky Sesame Stir Fried Green Beans is a good alternative to the Green Bean Casserole
Stir Frying allows you to keep all the vitamins and minerals of the vegetable and have a nice little crisp bite to the vegetable. How many of you have gone to those dreaded family events where you are served overcooked beans swimming in a “pool of cardiac arrest waiting to happen cream of mushroom soup” with those fried onions on top? That recipe might have been okay in the 1950’s but now we know what we need to do to stay healthy and still make delicious recipes.
Garlicky Sesame Stir Fried Green Beans is naturally vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, keto-friendly, cardiac friendly and diabetic friendly.
In less than 5 minutes, this dish can be on your table. We do not boil the vegetables and blanch them. However instead, we do a quick steam for 1-2 minutes with just a tablespoon of water before we do a dry fry in the pan. The beauty of this dish is with loads of things in the oven this can be done very quickly on the stove top.
This side dish is a fabulous addition to our Asian Fusion Low Carb Holiday Feast.
