Dried Ginger and Palm Coconut Herbal Tea herbal blend is great for those just starting out with medicinal herbs, as it is packed with live adaptogenic properties but has a mild herbal taste with a little sweet and spice.
Do you know what adaptogenic properties are? We are so glad you asked…
Adaptogens are plants/herbs that help increase your resilience to both physical and emotional stress. Life is filled with all kinds of expectations and stressors. If we mistreat our bodies by worrying excessively and overthinking, everything in our bodies go into a constant fight or flight response and our poor little adrenal glands get over worked. Our mental strain starts taking a toll on our physical health as we don’t sleep well, our immunity is down and it is a vicious cycle that needs to be broken. Adaptogens are a good supplement to take to help restore your health from the physical and emotional stressors in your life.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), maintaining the proper balance of energy (qi) allows a harmonious physiological and psychology state. This state can be assisted by plants and herbs that have adaptogenic properties.
Do you remember way back when….let's say Fifth grade natural science class? You learned that as the world evolved the plants and animals needed to learn how to adapt to survive in their new environments. The plants that adapted to their new environment and the animals that ate them were also healthier and could adapt to their new surroundings.
Dried Ginger and Palm Coconut Herbal Tea has adaptogenic properties and can help balance and restore your ability to handle both physical and mental stressors of today's world. Just sipping on this tea whether you prefer it warm or cool is a relaxing experience. This tea does not have any caffeine so it is perfectly fine to drink any time of the day.
We know that in the Western World “Iced Tea” is something that many people enjoy and you can drink this tea that way but it is not as good for your health as drinking “warm/hot” tea. Drinking very cold beverages makes your internal burner work really hard and it causes additional stress on your already compromised gastrointestinal health. Feeling bloated? Drinking warm/ hot fluid are better for your body, even in the summer. Of course, if you can add some rock sugar if you like yours a little sweeter. However, if you are already suffering from bloating and gastrointestinal distress, sugar can make your bloating worse. It is always best to keep it natural.
Dried Ginger and Palm Coconut Herbal Tea has some cooling herbs and of course it is balanced with the warming ginger. Dried ginger (gan jiang) has long been hailed as an important tonic for a stagnant stomach. In addition, it is good at alleviating symptoms of lethargy, nausea and mental alertness. Palm coconut (ye zi) is a popular superfood with well-known benefits and, besides aiding in digestion, contains a ton of calcium, potassium, and magnesium, as well as plenty of electrolytes to help rehydrate the body.
Dried Ginger and Palm Coconut Tea from Root and Spring contains the following ingredients…
Dried Ginger (Gan Jiang) - Dried ginger root has long been hailed as an important tonic for a stagnant stomach. In addition, it is good at alleviating symptoms of lethargy, nausea and mental alertness.
Palm Coconut (Ye Zi) - Besides aiding in digestion, coconuts contain a ton of calcium, potassium, and magnesium, as well as plenty of electrolytes to help rehydrate the body.
Dried Asian Pear (Ya Li) - The health benefits of Asian pears are plentiful. They can increase the body’s yin fluid and clear heat, cooling the body. These effects particularly relate to the lung and stomach organs and meridians.

They cannot be eaten raw but are used specifically in Chinese medicine and, after boiled, release biochemicals that clear and nourish the lungs and intestines.
Sweet Almonds (Nan Xing Ren) - Sweet almonds are larger and functionally quite similar to the western almonds we commonly find in markets. Sweet almonds are tastier, and can help brighten and moisturize the skin and hair.
Solomon's Seal (Yu Zhu) - Solomon's seal contains Vitamin A and is believed to be moisturizing, therefore an excellent Chinese herb for use in weather where skin tends to become very dry.
Dried Honey Dates (Mut Cho) - Also known as golden-thread amber honey dates, they are larger and sweeter (as sweet as honey) than dried red dates and are high in iron and considered “cooling”.
