Grilled Halloumi Cheese
Grilled Halloumi Cheese is the perfect low carb hot appetizer you can have on the snack table in under 30 minutes.
- 6 oz Halloumi cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- cracked pepper as desired
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Place oil in grill pan and preheat to medium heat.
Cut Halloumi cheese in slices or full whole slices as they need to be thinner so they cook quickly (your choice horizontal or diagonal cuts)
Place the Halloumi cheese on the grill pan and cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until nice grill marks show.
Add cracked pepper to taste and a little squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Enjoy your Hot Grilled Halloumi Cheese on it's own, over a salad or with toasted pita breads.
Halloumi cheese has a salty characteristic so there is no need to add any salt to this recipe.
