- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 tablespoon Cointreau (or other orange liquor)
- 1 cup maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon dried ground
In a flat bowl or serving dish mix eggs, almond milk, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, vanilla, butter. Dip each of the panettone bread slices into the egg mixture on both sides. In a separate plate, add the sugar and dip each of the eggy panettone breads on each side. This step give the French bread its deep golden color and sweetness.
Add a knob of butter into your skillet and fry your panettone French toasts until golden brown on both side. Set aside, keep warm.
In the meantime, add a knob of butter and Cointreau to a small pot until the alcohol burns off and the butter melts. Add the maple syrup and cinnamon and heat until warm.
