In reply to Baking with Sibella. Dear Sibella, If your world travels ever take you to Asia, you should try some different variety moon cakes. They are very different from anything European or Western that you may have tried before. Moon cakes can be homemade but you will need access to an Asian grocery store and also need the molds to bake them in and are little time consuming, so most people buy them pre-made. In reply to Pam. Haagen- Dazs mooncakes sounds delightful especially if combined withe the lighter crust of the snowy mooncakes. This is one the kids would really like.

The Snowy Mooncakes look really tasty. The best looking ones I saw were Haagen-Dazs mooncakes–definitely not the traditional pastey variety.
